Reminder: Meeting at Harlow Platts Park Wednesday 4-6

Just a reminder: we will be meeting IN PERSON at Harlow Platts Park (by Viele Lake in South Boulder) from 4-6 on Wednesday. We'll have a spot to drop off finished projects and pick up the new pattern (you'll need to provide your own yarn). Remember we'll also be collecting sweaters for the refugee project. If you'd like to stay and knit, please bring a chair or blanket. We'll sit in small groups rather than in one large one. Hope to see you there!

Refugee sweaters: Update and pattern links

Thanks to Roxana Bartlett, Lori Tomatz and Eleri Robinson, there were enough little sweaters (and some hats too) to fill a box to be sent to Wales, United Kingdom! Once in Wales the knit-wear will join some 2020 other little sweaters that will be taken to a refugee camp in France at the end of the year. Eleri plans to send a second shipment at the end of September, early October so if anyone has a little sweater to send to Wales please bring it along to the next Community Knitting gathering (September 16) and it will get to its destination! You can find Roxana's free pattern here with a correction here . Another easy beginner sweater pattern that's free is Flax from Tin Can Knits. And I had lots of fun with another pattern/recipe of theirs (not free), Strange Brew .

We're meeting outside September 16!

Hi all, I hope you've been holding up okay over this unusual summer. I have good news - we are going to meet in person again! We'll keep this as safe as possible - outdoors and distanced, with face coverings - but we understand that some high-risk folks may need to stay away.  We will be meeting September 16 from 4-6PM at Harlow Platts park by Viele Lake in South Boulder. Some of us will try to snag a picnic table where you can drop off your finished projects. Please bring a camping chair or blanket to sit on and wear a face covering. If you'd just like to come by, drop off your projects, say hello, and head out, that's fine! And if you'd like to stay and knit a while, we will probably be sitting in small groups rather than one large group. Please remember to bring any finished projects for Community Knitting and also any sweaters you've made for the Wales refugee project so that Eleri can send them on. If you'd like to contribute towards books for Clinica
