Make-up meeting March 15 2:30-4

First, I just want to say I'm sorry if you made the trek in to the library yesterday to find out that our meeting was canceled. I don't have any way to push notifications - the emails from the website are sent by google with some unknown latency, and I don't maintain an email list. I never thought about weather cancellations. before, so from here on out, if there's inclement weather, I'd recommend taking a look at the website (bouldercommunityknitting.com) before heading out to make sure it's still on. Second, we're going to do a make-up meeting for March on Tuesday, the 15th, from 2:30-4:00 at the Meadows branch of the Boulder Public Library. You can just come by and drop off finished items/pick up the new pattern(s), or you can stay and knit, just like a regular meeting. I hope you can make it!   If you're itching to cast on March's project, you can find links to the patterns in THIS POST .

March meeting canceled for icy roads!

Hi all,  Sorry for the late notice, but due to the snow and in anticipation of icy roads this afternoon/evening, we are canceling today's meeting. We'll try to get a dropoff time/location in the next week so that we can get hats and other knits distributed while there is still some winter left. My apologies if you don't receive this notification before the meeting - the email gets sent out automatically and I don't have control over that. Stay cozy and warm and keep knitting!

March 9 meeting

You can get them at the links below or we'll have some hard copies available at the meeting. Hope to see you there! I want to point out that the beautiful art pieces in the background of these photos are Giselle's own quilt panels. Stunning work! First there is Roxana's Hat with Four Corners , made with worsted weight yarn and US 7 (4.5 mm) needles. It's shown here with a pompom, but that's optional. Seeing this hat pattern made me a little sentimental, as it was the first Community Knitting project I ever made, many years ago. There's a little simple seaming at the end, but NO DECREASES, so if you hate working on DPNs, this is the hat pattern for you. I think I see a stack of these in my future! There's a specified stripe pattern, but you can make a solid version or use up your leftovers and st...
