Vest and hat pattern for May

I have May’s vest and hat pattern earlier than promised! The pattern is courtesy of Roxana, and it’s very beginner-friendly, even if you’ve never knit a garment before. Roylene made the sweet sample pictured above. This month I’m just posting the two pages of the pattern as images here in the post. To enlarge them, you should just be able to click on the image.  Can you wait until tomorrow to cast on? I can’t!

May meeting

Hi all - our next meeting will be this Wednesday, May 10, from 3:00 to 4:30 at the Meadows branch of the Boulder Public Library. Our traditional May project is a sweater or vest. This year you can make Roxana’s sweater pattern from last year or a new vest and hat pattern. The vest/hat will be available in hard copy at the meeting, and I will post/send out a link to the online pattern soon after the meeting. For the vest and hat, you will need approximately 7 ounces of worsted weight machine washable yarn and a US 7 or 8 (4.5 - 5mm) 16-20 inch circular needle.  Future meetings will also be the second Wednesday of the month, same time and place. Hope you can make it!
