May meeting

Hi all - our next meeting will be this Wednesday, May 10, from 3:00 to 4:30 at the Meadows branch of the Boulder Public Library.

Our traditional May project is a sweater or vest. This year you can make Roxana’s sweater pattern from last year or a new vest and hat pattern. The vest/hat will be available in hard copy at the meeting, and I will post/send out a link to the online pattern soon after the meeting.

For the vest and hat, you will need approximately 7 ounces of worsted weight machine washable yarn and a US 7 or 8 (4.5 - 5mm) 16-20 inch circular needle.

Future meetings will also be the second Wednesday of the month, same time and place.

Hope you can make it!

Reminder: meeting Wednesday at 4:00

Just a reminder that we will be meeting this Wednesday, August 18, 4:00 at Harlow Platts park by Viele Lake. The pattern is a modified version of the Swirl Hat, a favorite from Hat Bingo . I think it uses about 2 ounces of worsted weight yarn, preferable something machine washable, and a US 7 or 8 16 inch circular needle. Hope to see you there!

Reminder: Meeting at Harlow Platts Park Wednesday 4-6

Just a reminder: we will be meeting IN PERSON at Harlow Platts Park (by Viele Lake in South Boulder) from 4-6 on Wednesday. We'll have a spot to drop off finished projects and pick up the new pattern (you'll need to provide your own yarn). Remember we'll also be collecting sweaters for the refugee project. If you'd like to stay and knit, please bring a chair or blanket. We'll sit in small groups rather than in one large one. Hope to see you there!

April cables (or not)

Our next meeting will be this Wednesday, April 12, from 3:00 to 4:30 at the Meadows branch of the Boulder Public Library. Our project is a child's hat that you can make with or without cables. You'll need about 2 ounces of worsted weight yarn, US size 7 or 8 (4.5-5mm) 16 inch circular and double point needles, a cable needle if you are working the cable version, and 8 stitch markers, one unique for the beginning of the round. You can find the pattern HERE . Hope you can make it!
