Scarf pattern and dress warmly

It's going to be chilly, but we're still on for today 4:00 at Harlow Platts Park/Viele Lake pavilion. Dress warmly, bring a chair, and we'll see how long we can tough it out - it might be a short meeting! Do use your judgment - if a wintry meetup is not for you, you are welcome to just drop off any finished items and head back somewhere warm, and we'll look forward to a more comfortable meetup in May. 

Our April pattern is the oddball scarf. You will need a 24 inch US 9 or 10 (5.5 or 6 mm) circular needle and odds and ends of worsted weight yarn totaling about 2 ounces. You can pick up a printed pattern or download one here: 

Oddball Scarf

There is plenty of opportunity to play and have fun with this scarf - change gauge, hold yarns double, use up small scraps and leftovers, play with color and stripes, throw in some crazy fuzzy or sparkly yarns. Enjoy, and hope to see you tonight!

    I believe it is bear season. Is anyone else knitting bears? As usual, I have reknit about half my first heart; hopefully, the second one will go faster!

March meeting canceled / Ways to connect

Hi everyone, After careful consideration, we decided to cancel our March meeting (next week). Many people in our group are at higher risk (over 60, other health issues), and we don't want to put anyone in danger. Hat BINGO for Clinica

Hello knitters, Clinica needs more hats! Our contact there told us that they handed out the last batch of hats we gave her in a matter of hours! So we need to make some more hats. To make this a fun challenge, I thought we could try a game of Hat BINGO.  Click here for your card: GET A BINGO CARD You'll see 24 squares, each with a pattern name, and one free space in the middle. To get a bingo, knit 5 hats - all the patterns in a row (across, down, or diagonal). If you use the free space, you still need to knit 5 hats, but one can be any pattern you like - on the card, a duplicate, or some other pattern or improvisation you like. Snap a photo of your 5 hats for proof of your bingo - there will be prizes!  I've included a few patterns we've shared on the website, and the rest are all free patterns on Ravelry. 16 hats, 4 bears, 4 mittens, and 1 neck warmer

Hi everyone! Here is a very inspiring update from Twyla. Thanks to Linda for this incredible donation of her time and talent! From Twyla: Linda Leach has been knitting away despite the temporarily suspended Boulder Community Knitting meetings😊 So, in addition to the masks we've been giving them, today they will also pick up Linda's latest batch of beautiful hats, mittens and bears (and a rogue neck warmer that found its way into the bag lol). When she came over to show me what she'd made, I thought she'd never get to the bottom of the bag, as she removed item after beautiful item! A photo shoot ensued and I thought you might like to share some pics with the group. Clinica Campesina will be picking these up today, along with some masks. They are serving a larger population as other medical facilities are closed and they are taking the overflow of additional patients. I'm sure Linda's items will be much appreciated.
